Track 1, Futurama. Track is off da chain. From the get go you know that Non-Phixion ain't fucking around with no one. ILL BILL and Goretex ripped the orchestra laced beat featuring dope violin samples with a nice drum sample. They spit on some future shit which is the focus of he album. Non-Phixion shows you they mean business. "This is Futurama where the cyborgs'll shoot ya mama/ A cross between Terminator 2 and 3 to calm it"
Drug Music. Uncle Howie leads us into the song. I wasn't really feelin' this joint, because the beat just didn't hold me. ILL BILL and Goretex once again, come nicely. The focus of the song is to show how music can be addictive as drugs. A nicer beat would've made this song better.
C.I.A. Is Trying To Kill Me. ILL SHIT! This was the first song that got me into NP. The beat on this joint is FUCKIN' nice. The violin samle is the shit when it gets crazy. Lyrics is all gravity. Condemning the C.I.A is always a good thing. ;) Goretex spits about the world and its problems, what's going on in the world, and how they C.I.A. tries to censor the people.. Dope track right here.
If You Got Love. Simple beat that I'm def feeling. The chorus clings on to me, but I don't know why. This is just a track that NP did to show what they're about. The chorus tells it all. "If you got love for ya moms, THAT'S NON-PHIXION / If you got love for your seeds, THAT'S NON-PHIXION" Another great track by NP.
There Is No Future. Simple beat with the bassline as the center point. Chorus is simple and ok. The lyrics are once again the key points of the song...and....theres....a verse..from Necro! w00t w00t. Necro rips the mic and adds more to NPs already superb album.
Uncle Howie. Kind of a funny interlude.
Rock Stars. Dope ass beat done by DJ Premier, you won't love it at first, but it grows on you. NP spits about who they are and becoming "STARS that ROCK the mic". The chorus is a nice sample that's been cut up by Premo. Overall this song is SO damn ill.
Say Goodbye Yesterday. This track is definitely nice. The beat is somber, mellow and dope. Track focuses on enjoying life and not taking anything for granted, it's all about the people. Only downpoint of teh track is the chorus which gets kind of annoying after many listens. Doesn't hurt the song that much though. The singing just doesn't fit the track.
Black Helicopters. BEST FUCKING SONG ON THE ALBUM. No need to explain, Necro laced the fuckin' dope ass beat. Damn this shit is just to ill....fuck..go listen to it, buy it, download it NOW!
Strange Universe. Kind of a song/Interlude. Uses a distorted bass as the centerpoint. NP rips the mic over an above average beat. Beat may get on your nerves, due to the absence of no breakdown of the song. Still fresh though.
Cult Leader. Fresh beat with what sounds like an organ in it. NP comes nice on the mic. Spittin' rhymes about how music can make you a cult leader by gaining a following. Music is like a drug. Chorus is simple, they just state they are "Cult Leaders".
It's Us. Wow, definitely another hot beat I'm feeling, once again laced by Necro. NP just comes tight on every damn song, don't see how they go unnoticed. Chorus is just them telling us who they are by spelling out their name. "My words are like carcinogens".
Suicide Bomb. This track is about the 9/11 attacks. Has an upbeat tempo to it. Beat was done by the Beatnuts. Lyrics are onpoint, covering topics from the attacks to stereotyping terrorists/foreigners, to wanting to kill Osama, to becriticized for who you are. Beat is ill, even though it may take getting used to. Fresh track overall.
Where You Wanna Go. Uncle Howie Interlude.
We Are The Future. One of the best songs on a dope ass cd. A spacey ass orchestra sample is used. Just gets you into another world, especially if you're high. ;) Damn this track is nice. NP spit on some future shit about what happens to the world, their lives, and the hood. They paint a vivid futuristic picture with their words. The chorus is a cut up sample of "We Are The Future". This spaced out beat is so damn ill.
The C.I.A. Is Trying To Kill Me. Remix to the other track featuring a different beat using some rock geetars, w00t! And I don't mean no fag ass P. Diddy remix. Thsi track features members from Fear Factory and Deftones. And NP write different verse for the track. Same chorus as other song though. Dope shiznit, boy-yee.
The greatness of Non-Phixion has come to an end. I would recommend them to all hiph-op fans, especially Underground heads, and anyone who wants to listen to pistive lyrics and other music that isn't played on the radio .Overall I would rate this album...
