ONYX
BACDAFUCUP
PART II

Overall: 7/10
Onyx has a big background. You probably remember them when they made their old school rap song “Slam”. What happened to them since then? They haven’t been in the spot-light. Were they just one-hit wonders even though they released several albums? If so, Bacdafucup Part 2 could just very well change that.
The CD starts up with a track called “What’s Onyx”. It’s a pretty angry track, and similar to DMX’s hit
song “Who We Be”. It’s basically describing what Onyx is like. They say “Onyx is Villians, crooks, thieves,
terrorists, killers
Track 2, “Bring Em Out Dead” is similar to the first track, but could possibly be a decent part song. It’s basically talking about violence and everything, but is a fun song to listen to. Not exactly the kind of song, or album to listen to if you’re offended by artists describing violence.
“Slam Harder”, the third track, was released as the first single off the album. The track samples Welcome Back Mr. Kotter’s theme song. It’s a pretty poppy rap song, so they made a good choice for a first single, since that’s what sells. They’re basically saying that they’re back, and “Slam Harder” is harder then “Slam” (DISAGREED).
Track 4, “Hold Up” features Mobb Deep. The beat’s a very nice beat, and it’s another good party song off the album. The flow and lyrics are nice, and it basically makes the perfect party song. Nice track.
Next up is “Bang 2 Dis”. It’s the kind of track you’d listen to if you were at a gangsta party. It’s one of those songs where you can picture a lot of thugs partying and smoking. It’s another angry song off the album.
“Gangsta”, track 6, comes with a slower beat than the other songs. They’re talking about how their girls are gangster bitches. Like if they got caught sleeping with another girl, the girl would get stabbed by his gangster bitch. It’s a good song to listen to if you just want to relax.
“Hood Beef”, song #7 is a song about problems in the hood with other gangs. They say it’s the worst kind of beef you can get, because it always results in violence and other things. It’s a good, fast song.
“Big Trucks” comes next, and it’s basically about big rims on their trucks. It’s better than most of the other songs about this kind of thing, believe me. The beat’s a very nice sounding beat. Pretty good track overall.
Track 9 is called “Clap and Rob’ Em”. It’s got a fast, happy beat tempo. It’s a great party song, along with a handful of other songs on this album. They’re basically saying how they look around the clubs for people with valuable stuff to steal. Fun track to listen to.
Track 10 is “Onyx is Back”. It’s similar to some of the other songs on the album, but a pretty good track. It seems like it would be good driving music. They’re basically introducing who they are back into the rap game.
“Feel Me” is easily the ****BEST SONG ON ALBUM****. Somebody says at the beginning that the song was recorded 9/11/2001, the day the World Trade Center blows up. They’re basically talking about how miserable their lives were in the hood, and they’re feeling so much pain in their life. The beat is slow, and fits the track well.
“Wet The Club” comes next, and is the final track of the album. It’s another good hard party song. Pretty angry, and similar to a few other tracks off of the album. The beat’s pretty nice though.
Overall, Bacdafucup2 is an OK album. The thing I like most about it is that it can have serious, happy, angry, and party songs all on one CD. The guy’s definitely have a lot of talent, and hopefully will make millions off this album.
